   How we Roast our Coffee 

At Bean Addiction, we use some of the finest Arabica coffee beans available to us here in Australia.
Before roasting, every batch undergoes a density check to ensure we apply the most suitable roast profile for that particular coffee. We carefully determine the optimal roast, tailoring our approach to match the unique characteristics of each bean. Even the smallest adjustments are made with precision and at the right moment to bring out the best in every batch.

All data from the roasting process is recorded and compared against previous profiles to guarantee consistency and maintain our high standards of quality.

Our Coffee Story

Bean Addiction began in 2015 with humble roots, sparked by a big move from Sydney to the Barossa Valley.
But the story really starts earlier, in the Blue Mountains of western Sydney, where Damien spent 20 years working as a railway man. His passion for coffee was born during countless sleepless nights on shift work, fueling an obsession that would shape his future.

Years before relocating to Barossa, Damien dedicated his spare time to learning the art of coffee roasting from his old boss, Ian — the founder of Blue Mountains Coffee Roasters and a fellow railway worker. Under Ian’s guidance, Damien mastered the craft, eventually bringing this knowledge and passion with him on a new journey alongside his family.

Today, years later, Bean Addiction has grown into a beloved local coffee destination in the Barossa Valley. We proudly supply our coffee to a wide range of local businesses and coffee lovers all across Australia — sharing a little piece of our story in every cup.
