Price Increase
For those of us not living under a rock the cost of, well everything, has gone up but for those that are paying close attention they would have seen that coffee and chocolate have been particularly hard hit in late 2024 with coffee seeing unrelenting increases since early into COVID-19 but the 2nd half of 2024 has seen historically high increases. There are numerous contributing factors that really don't appear to be letting up any time soon, so all of us in the coffee industry are bracing for a tough year ahead. From 1st February 2025 we will be increasing the cost of our coffee range by around 7.5% for both our wholesale and retail prices, we will also need to factor in similar increases in 6 and 12 months time and monitor from there but the moment we see the market settling down we will make sure we stabilise our prices. We sincerely wish this wasn't the way we needed to start 2025 but we simply had to do it.
Specialty Coffee Availability.
Us, like many coffee roasters globally are experiencing difficulties sourcing specialty coffees from particular places around the world for a number of reasons. Although this issue is slowly starting to resolve itself we are still finding it difficult to source certain items. If can't find what is usually available on our store page it is likely this item is simply delayed in transit and will return shorty, if you are concerned about an item not returning please call our store for more information. At present, we are experiencing difficulty sourcing items from Nicaragua and Guatemala as well as Ethiopia. The other coffee we are keeping our eye on is decaffeinated coffee from everywhere. Ethiopia should be good by mid January and decaf by around April (although, as of end December we have pretty good supply). Coffees from the Central America regions will be delayed indefinitely. This shortage may also have the consequence of making some of our blends unavailable.
We provide coffee service until 30 minutes prior to closing each day.
